An idea on Monday & a working version by Friday.
Bring us an idea and we’ll build a working first version in a week, for you to try with real people. If you go ahead, the week comes off the price of the full build.
Sam, Muddy Paws
I run a mobile dog grooming business and bookings come in by text, Facebook and phone. I’d like a proper booking app, but I don’t want to spend thousands to find out my customers won’t use it. How would I test the idea first?
Duet
Build a first version in a week. Sow it on Monday, try it on Friday.
A sketch on Monday & bookings by Friday.
This is Sam’s week: a booking app for a mobile dog groomer, from a pencil sketch to real customers booking. Press play, or drag through the days.
Sound familiar? A good idea & no proof yet.
A week suits an idea you can say in a sentence and test with a handful of real people.
Rosa, Baker
We sell out of sourdough by ten, and the phone rings all morning with people asking us to hold a loaf. I’d like regulars to pre-order the night before, but I don’t know if they’d bother. Could I try it before paying for an app?
Duet
You could. A pre-order page by Friday, and your regulars trying it.
Kemi, Maths tutor
Parents book lessons over WhatsApp, and I spend Sunday evenings juggling the week. A booking page might fix it, but I’d hate to pay for one the parents ignore. What’s the smallest thing I could try?
Duet
A booking page with your real hours, ready by Friday. Send it to five parents and see.
Lee, Gym owner
Our evening classes fill in minutes, and the waitlist is a sheet of paper on the front desk. Members keep asking to be told when a space opens. Is an app worth it?
Duet
Let’s find out in a week. A waitlist that texts members when a space opens.
Real people try it & you make the call.
If it works, grow it: the week comes off the price of the full build. If it doesn’t, compost it, and you’ve spent a week finding out, not months.
Rosa’s pre-order page, Friday
Illustration11 of 20 regulars pre-ordered a loaf
- “No more ringing at eight to hold a sourdough.”
- “Could I pay when I collect?”
Your call. Grow it into the full build, or compost it and move on.
Small enough to build & real enough to test.
A week means choosing. We build what your testers need to try the idea, and keep a list of the rest for later.
One week & one price, agreed first.
We talk the idea through and agree a fixed price for the week. You see it come together, and on Friday it’s in your hands.
Is a week enough? & other fair questions.
Something real people can use, not a slideshow. It does the one or two jobs that test your idea, with rough edges we’ll point out to you.
For a first version, yes. We build only what your testers need to try the idea, and keep a list of everything else for later.
Whoever the idea is for: your customers, your staff or your members. A handful of real people tells you more than a room full of opinions.
Then you’ve found out in a week rather than after a full build. A prototype is rough on purpose, and some ideas don’t survive the week. That’s the point.
If you go ahead with the full build, what you paid for the week comes off its fixed price. You’ll see both in writing before we start.
Duet
Your turn. What’s the idea you keep coming back to?
Bring us the idea & try it by Friday.
